This dates back to 2008 when I worked with director Trey Fanjoy to storyboard a music video for a rising young star named Taylor Swift . Trey was great to work with as she meticulously planned each shot in pre-production and I strived to capture her vision with my storyboard, combining ‘modern’ and fantasy sequences. Trey won major accolades for the video including Music Video of the Year at the 2009 CMA Awards ; Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year at the 2009 C

This storyboard is from a treatment by director Jeff Venable for Audio Technica ANC-9 Quietpoint headphones. Jeff and I discussed each of the set-ups and the framing as the witless main character goes through his day believing nobody can hear what he is saying because he can’t hear any of the intrusive sounds around him, thanks to these amazing noise-canceling headphones he is wearing – until his shocking moment of realization!

Guitars for Vets ( G4V ) serves at-risk US veterans impacted by PTSD and other service-related trauma, putting the healing power of music in their hands. Ford Trucks joined with Gibson Guitars to publicize the program and Luke Combs volunteered to participate in the ad campaign. I was brought in to storyboard the shoot. Note that the script had not been finalized at that time so no dialog is indicated on the storyboard.

Gaylord Resorts operates a number of lush destination-style hotels, including Gaylord Opryland in Nashville. For this project, Gaylord partnered with Dreamworks and TV commercials were planned for the promotion at the Texan Resort. Working closely with the producer, I created several storyboards for the the TV spots, highlighting the family fun that guests would enjoy during their visit.
