About Mike Harris

a.k.a. Storyboard Mike

Mike Harris is a professional storyboard artist, located in the Nashville, Tennessee area, creating storyboards for clients throughout the United States.  All Mike’s storyboards are drawn by hand so that they are unique to your projects and not artificially concocted by any software programs.  You can choose to receive the original art or have your storyboards scanned and emailed to you, anywhere in the world.


Mike began his career as an art director, working at several advertising agencies in his native London, England.  After moving to the United States, he worked with the Gannett newspaper company, publisher of USA Today, in New York, Delaware and California before moving to Nashville, Tennessee, where he started his own company specializing in creating storyboards for the film, television and video industries.


He has produced storyboards for movies including "all Saints," “High Roller: The Stu Ungar Story,”  “Country Strong” and “Outlaw Country.”  TV commercial clients have included: The NFL, Coca-Cola, Goody’s, Cracker Barrel, Duck Head Clothing, Seven-Up, The Tennessee Lottery, The Kentucky Lottery, Big Time Toys, Moon Pies, Verizon, WABC Radio, Lava Soap, Logan’s Road House, Tri-Star Hospitals, Purity Dairies, Captain D’s, Gaylord Resorts/DreamWorks and many more.


Music video storyboard credits include CMT, Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, Elton John, Shania Twain, Lonestar and Trace Adkins, among others.  He also storyboarded the first three seasons of the syndicated TV show, “America’s Dumbest Criminals.”


For two years, he was an adjunct instructor at the Watkins Film School in Nashville, teaching pre-production and storyboarding and taught occasional classes at the Nashville Film Institute.


Mike Harris is also an illustrator and cartoonist.  He has illustrated all of the NY Times bestseller-listed “Dumbest” series, including “America’s Dumbest Criminals, Wanted Dumb Or Alive,” World’s Dumbest Criminals” and “Crimes And MisDumbmeanors.”  He co-wrote and illustrated “Dates From Hell (And A Few Moments Made In Heaven).”  For several years, he created a twice-weekly editorial newspaper cartoon and also designs toys and toy packaging for national clients.
